What To Expect

You will be traveling to three countries in Asia for seven days and the countries are from Brunei Darussalam to Miri Sarawak and lastly to Singapore. You will be staying two days and one night in each countries giving allowance of one day for you travel back to Brunei Darussalam.

In Brunei Darussalam, You will have the chance to visit the Ulu Temburong National Park, the Water Village also known as the 'Venice of the East' and the Royal Regalia Building. When you are in Miri Sarawak, you will be travelling to the Niah National Park and will also go scuba diving at the Miri Reef. Lastly in Singapore, you will be visiting the Underwater World in Sentosa Island followed by the Tiger Sky Tower and then you will go to the Snow City and join the Singapore Night Safari to enjoy the last day of the travel.

Ulu Temburong National Park - Brunei Darussalam

Ulu Temburong National Park occupies approximately 50,000 hectares of the Batu Apoi Forest Reserve. The park's locality and steep, swampy terrain have limited human impact on the area and helped preserve its rich biodiversity where the rainforest has much to offer the visitors and both in terms of animals and plants life.



The centre is only accessible by boat which travels down the Belalong River using the Temuai or longboat. These boats are steered by Iban men and women who, with remarkable ability, manage to avoid sand bars, boulders and submerged logs. Once the visitors arrived at the centre, they will start walking on the 7km wooden walkway to get to the forest canopy walk.



A birds-eye view of the surrounding forests can be seen from the not-to-be-missed Canopy Walkway. This steel structure rises some 50 metres from the forest floor to the level of the highest trees, and from here, tiger orchids can be seen and other epiphytes clinging to the branches, as well as Bukit Belalong in the distance. The observant may even experiece a glimpse of snakes in the treetops, such as the strikingly coloured Wagler's Pit Viper.

Water Village - Brunei Darussalam

A journey along the Brunei River will be the perfext experience into the country's past. It houses the largest water village in the world where it is cosidered as the 'Venice of the East' by European tourists. Kampong Ayer has about 42 villages with a population of more than 30,000 who live in traditionally made stilt houses that are connected by a maze of wooden walkways.
Apart from the traditional structures, visitors also can find a small number of villagers carrying out olden-day activities such as fishing and boat making.

Although the world is evolving quickly due to the technological advances and globalisation, the water village still preserves much of the historical features first witnessed by the graet explorer Ferdinant Magellan in the 16th Century.


You can access the water village by riding on the water taxis which transport you to and from the shore during the day. These water taxis can be called from numerous docking ports along the riverbanks of the Brunei River.

Royal Regalia Building - Brunei Darussalam

The museum stores a priceless collection of the royal regalia that has ben inherited from generation to generation. It was built to commemorate the 1992 Silver Jubilee of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam's ascension to the throne.

The building, with its distinctively gilded dome has become an outstanding landmark in the heart of the capital. It houses gold and silver armoury, jewel-encrusted crowns, a royal chariot, a replica of the throne and gifts that His Majesty has received.


The Royal Regalia Building consists of four galleries which are the Royal Regalia (Coronation, 1968), Royal Exhibition Gallery, Silver Jubilee Gallery and the Constitutional History Gallery. A full documentation of the Constitusion of Brunei Darussalam is also exhibited.

In the Royal Regalia Gallery, it displays regalia used during the Coronation of His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam.

In the Royal Exhibition Gallery, it briefly documents the life history of His Majesty the Sultan from his childhood days up to the time of his coronation. For the Silver Jubille Gallery, it is all about the the historic Silver Jubilee celebration on the 5th October 1992 of His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam's ascention to the throne.

The Constitutional History Gallery phases in the development of Brunei's constitutional history which are outlined in the gallery. Audio-visual aids and archival material help to explain the pre-1959 period, the 1959 Constitution and Agreement, the 1971 Agreement, the Proclaimation of Independence in 1984 and the post-independence structure of Government.

Niah National Park - Miri Sarawak

Niah National located on the Niah, about 3 km from the small town of Batu Niah. The park was first announced as a National Historic Monument in 1958 and then as National Park on 23 November 1974 and was opened to the public on 1 January 1975. The Park is one of Sarawak's smaller national parks, but it is certainly one of the most important and has some of the most unusual visitor attractions. The park's main claim to fame is its role as one of the birthplaces of civilisation in the region. The oldest modern human remains discovered in Southeast Asia were found at Niah, making the park one of the most important archaeological sites in the world.


Forty thousand years ago, the Niah Great Cave sheltered human life. Here lies the oldest human remains in Southeast Asia, along with many other relics of prehistoric man. Today the Cave is home only to bats, swiftlets and other specially adapted forms of life. However, a few locals still venture into the dark interior to collect guano and bird's nest. The Great Cave and Painted Cave have been declared as National Historical Monuments. The Caves are accessible via a raised plankwalk that winds through lowland forest vibrant with birds and butterflies. Apart from the Caves, visitors can explore several kilometres of forest trails to feel the richness of tropical rainforests, climb a 400m tall limestone ridge or visit an Iban longhouse located near the Park boundary. Visitors can also rent a boat or walk along the river from Park headquarters to Batu Niah town.



There are many interesting sites that can be visited at the Niah National Park. The most visited site is the Great Cave which is approximately 3 km from the Park Office and is easily reached via the plankwalk which is enclosed on both sides by dense primary rainforest. The passage at the back of the Great cave leads to the large chamber known as 'Padang' where shafts of sunlight stream down from the large holes in the cave roof to illuminate the bizarre rock formations in the Burnt Cave. The Painted Cave is the site of the famous Niah cave paintings and the place where the 'death-ship' were found. The contents of the death-ships have since been transferred to the Sarawak Museum.

There are also treks and trails for the visitors to enjoy which are Jalan Bukit Kasut and Jalan Madu. Jalan Bukit Kasut is a 45 minutes walk passes through beautiful primary rainforest before moving into Kerangas forest at the foot of the hill and the Jalan Madu sticks quite close to the banks of the Sungai Subis, a tributary of the Sungai Niah. It takes roughly an hour and passes through both alluvial and peat swamp forest. There are plenty of wild orchids, bizarre mushrooms and giant pandanus plants along the side of the trail.

Miri Reef - Miri Sarawak


The Miri Reef is one of Malaysia’s most recent discovered diving locations. Within this patch of reefs at varying depths and is comfortable for beginners as well as advanced divers. Most of the time, there is no current and the average visibility is between 10 to 30 metres. Some of the deeper dive sites can have the visibility of 40 metres. There is a variety of coral and marine life that rivals the best anywhere in Borneo.

Just 30 minutes boat ride away from the Miri River mouth is the golden triangle of underwater haven. Some of these coral reefs have been earmarked for scuba diving and their reefs are compatible with other world-renowned dive sites.






The dive sites include drop-offs, reefs and shipwrecks, offering, offering divers sights of colourful hard and soft coral formations. Marine life in the area include butterflyfish, clownfish, filefish, angelfish, basslets, grunts, sea fan, sponges, crustaceans such as shrimps, crabs and lobsters.


There are several diving sites available at the Miri Reef. The Sri Gadong Wreck is a small 100-foot cargo ship carrying sawn timber is sitting on a 60-foot sand bottom. The whole wreck is teaming with fish life.

The Grouper Patch is where giant groupers inhabit this 60-foot reef. Spiny lobsters are also another inhabitant together with yellow tails and other schooling fishes.

At the Santak Point, the average visibility here is 100-feet or more. Large gorgonian fans of 6-feet in size are all over the top of the reef at 70-feet. The reef extends drops to 110-feet.

The Sunday Reef has large varieties of hard corals make up this 35 to 50 foot reef inhabited with anemones, clown fishes and Nudibranchs.

The Anemone Garden is one of the most interesting reefs with a depth range of 30 to 50 feet. Both hard and soft corals thrive here.

The Atago Maru Wreck is a Second World War Japanese wreck just off Lutong. The 300-foot ship is sitting upright with the top deck just 30-feet from the surface.



Sentosa Island Underwater World - Singapore

Underwater World Singapore, situated on Sentosa Island of Singapore, is a unique and well-known oceanarium showcasing some 2500 marine life from 250 species from around the regions and is extremely popular to the visitors for providing fun, leisure and educational experiences.

At Underwater World Singapore, a 'voyage to the bottom of the sea' begins at the water’s edge, with shallow rock turtle and ray pools. Be greeted next by brightly colored corals and exotic ocean dwellers including the moray eels, sea dragons and jelly fishes before embarking on a spectacular underwater journey through the 83-metre-long moving travelator with a tunnel housing the majestic rays, fearsome sharks, great shoals of other fishes and a host of other creatures that inhabit the ocean depths.

At the end of the underwater tunnel experience, it is a rare opportunity to see the Dugong and also look at the latest themed exhibit in the changing exhibit hall on the first level. The current theme is the "Living Fossils" exhibiting various unique and amazing marine and freshwater creatures, whose ancestors appeared more than a few hundreds of millions years ago.

Sentosa Island Tiger Sky Tower - Singapore


Experience the panoramic views across Singapore, Sentosa and the Southern Islands from Asia's tallest free standing observation tower. The Sky Tower has a capacity of 72 in its enclosed, air-conditioned cabin and the day and night views from the tower promise to be both scenic and breathtaking.


The Sky Tower is a key point of interest and forms a distinctive landmark as it gently revolves to a viewing height of almost 50 stories above the surrounding natural greenery. It also overlooks the Resorts World at Sentosa.



During the ride, there is a cabin commentary describing the history of Sentosa and its surroundings as well as pointing out various places of interest visible from the cabin. From the top of the Sky Tower, visitors can see all the way to Malaysia and Indonesia.

Snow City - Singapore

Snow City Singapore is an indoor centre where the snow has been formed artificially to offer the visitors to enjoy snow in a tropical country like Singapore. The temperature of the place is maintained at zero degree round the year and the visitors can enjoy the chilly temperature as well as indulge in exciting and fun-filled activities in the snow.

There are various activities like snow tubes, snow ball fights and interactive sessions for the kids. Apart from these games there are scopes to learn other snow activities from the experienced trainers and instructors who can guide and teach the visitors.



The most helpful session is the interactive meeting where different experiments and programs on 'low temperature' are performed to give children a clear idea about world's various climatic features. If the visitors are not well equipped to face the chilly temperature of Snow City, the winter jackets and boots are supplied for free.

Night Safari - Singapore

The World's First Night Safari, set in 40 hectares of secondary jungle adjoining the Singapore Zoo, will unfold the mystery and drama of the tropical jungle which comes alive after dusk with stunning effect.

See a myriad of nocturnal animals, from fierce predators to timid forest dwellers, in their natural habitat under subtle moon glow lighting. Enjoy the experience in the complete safety of a tram and with a sense of roaming through a jungle.




The tram ride takes the visitors through the East and West Loop passing by a large reservoir and weaving through selected habitats designed specially to replicate the natural environment from the Himalayan Foothills to the Southeast Asian Rainforest and Indian Subcontinent.



On completion of the tram ride, the tour guide will lead the visitors on a walking trail where they will be able to view the animals at closer quarters.
